Reserves / 19's win way to Final of Summer Social Cup

Wayne Jackon scored both goals as Metro defeated Olympic 2-1 at Olinda Grove this afternoon.
Jacko's first goal came 5mins into the second half when he latched onto a long kick out from Neil Biggar and lobbed the keeper from 18 yards.

The second goal was a penalty - Dicko Farley had all but the keeper beat when the last Olympic defender decided to handle the ball in the box. Jacko scored easily sending the keeper the wrong way.

Metro will now play Newtown Eagles in the Grand Final of the Summer Cup next Saturday.

Reserves through to Semi Finals

The Reserves/19's cruised through to the semi's today by defeating Clarence's Premier League u/19's 2-1.

Wade Hawkins scored both Metro's goals. His 1st came in the first half when he ventured forward after Andrew Herring pushed him into the centre of mid field. Wade showed great composure when taking on two players before slotting the ball past the Clarence keeper. His second goal came late in the game when Metro were given a free kick on the edge of the eighteen yard box & with a Terry Kent style shot he curled the ball into the top left corner.

Youngster Brandon Moore was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions and his couragious efforts have earned him a call up to the senior sqaud for tomorrow's game against Huon Valley at Nth Chigwell - 11:30am.

Metro FC 4 - TIS1 Summer Cup 27th Feb

Metro FC defeated TIS 4-1 this afternoon.

Jason "The Man" Dawes scored a brace
Jeremy "Jezza" Morris & Aaron "Ass" Marney scored 1 a piece.

Debutant Brandon Moore Awesome - Metro wins on Penalties in Social Cup Match 3

Metro drew 0-0 with Nelson Eastern Suburbs at Olinda Grove this Morning.
Metro were victorious on Penalties however 3-1.

Bezz holds up middle, Mets win 3-1 againts the Eagles

Metro Opened their Social Cup account with a 3-1 victory over Newtown Eagles at Olinda Grove today. In 30' heat Jarrod Berry was rock solid in the middle of park.
Travis Brooks opened the scoring, but then Eagles replied quickly to make it 1-1. Daniel Brown scored late in the first half to make it 2-1, whilst Travis Brooks with his second, scored a cracker turning his player and rocketing the ball in the net to finish the Eagles outfit off. Final Score 3-1.
